Invaders

Invading species of plants and animals are creating wastelands across the desert. They have enormous powers; they spread disease; they devour native life. Some are destroying the very land under our feet. Think of them as the first wave of an assault that could drive the greatest mass extinction since the end of the dinosaurs.

What is causing this invasion?
What can we do to stop the rising tide?

Invaders is one of the major program areas within the Museum's Center for Sonoran Desert Studies.
Invaders The Mission of the Invaders program is designed to raise awareness about the negative impacts of invasive plants and animals and to inspire and prepare people to assist in tackling this problem through research, early detection, monitoring, mapping, on-the-ground control treatments, and community outreach.
