Rosettes of few, stiff, narrow, curved white leaves. The inflorescence is simple or few-branched, with pink bracts and lavender flowers. Blooms spring and summer.

This is an atmospheric epiphyte that is found mostly on trees, in arroyos and commonly on open slopes in tropical deciduous forest. The species is known only from Sonora and Sinaloa.
