In Where The Light Gets In, artist JenMarie Zeleznak investigates the subtle forces that shape interconnection—between organisms, systems, and environments. Through intricate constructed drawings, she explores the ways in which adaptation, empathy, and belonging function as modes of survival. Her work draws on Darwin’s The Expression of the Emotions in Man and Animals to consider how emotions are not only communicated, but embodied across species and time.

Valle de Guadalupe is surrounded by olive orchards, beautiful vineyards and expansive ranch lands. The area has evolved into a wine and culinary mecca. On this tour we visit the best wineries and farm-to-table restaurants, and learn about the history of native and colonial cultures, and their relationships with the land.
