Sonoran Desert - Flowing Arroyo near ASDM - Skip Links
Like snow on saguaros, this too is an unusual sight. (Photographers go for the exceptional rather than the mundane.) This was at the end of a very wet winter, and this arroyo adjacent to the Desert Museum flowed like a mountain trout stream into June. In a normal year it carries water only for an hour or two during summer downpours, from zero to a couple of times each year.
